A first eFoil experience is always exciting. Today is the day you're going to learn this new water sport! You hope to be able to stand and foil out of the water. You've booked an e-foil lesson on our site with a friend to learn efoiling on 1 board. You were looking for an active water activity. Neither of you has any surfing experience yet, but you are both very enthusiastic to experience it. Together you drive to one of our efoil school locations in the Netherlands: Amsterdam Nieuwe Meer, Loosdrecht, Heeg or Tilburg. There, an enthusiastic eFoil instructor awaits you, who will provide the right size wetsuit. A quick change and the lesson can begin!
The instructor explains in detail about the eFoil material, the right techniques to quickly master efoiling, and the possible dangers and how to avoid them. After this, it's time for the real deal! You go first and enthusiastically jump into the water. Luckily, the sun is shining wonderfully, so it's not cold. You start by lying on the board and feeling how fast it can go. This is already a fun experience, cruising nicely on an electric surfboard. Now your friend goes, and you can watch him from the boat. Enjoying the sun, you can calmly process everything that was just said. Getting used to the board goes well for both of you, so it's time for the next step: standing up! The instructor explains and shows how to get up, stay up, gain speed and turn. It looks very simple, but you wonder if you'll succeed. This time, you go first again. You sail forward, slowly stand up and gain more speed. What an amazing feeling! You're doing great and enjoying it immensely. You surf across the lake and the instructor calls out some tips. And yes! There you go, you're up: you're flying! What an experience. Adrenaline courses through your body. Then it's time for your friend to try. You get a high-five from the instructor and notice how hard you've used your leg muscles. You relax in the sun and watch how the other person is doing. He also flies across the water and smiles from ear to ear. He looks just like Superman! Then the hour is over and you can go back to the Flying Fish eFoil school to talk about your first e-foil lesson and relax with a refreshing beer in hand. You look at each other and decide to do this again, because efoiling is such a cool sport!
