Hoe ik verliefd werd op mijn eFoil

How I Fell in Love with My eFoil

Who would have thought that I, as a surfer, would actually love the sport of eFoiling? Not me. But the feeling of flying above water on an electric hydrofoil board is truly amazing. And it's super easy to learn!

eFoil business

It all started when my now business partner Jochem asked me if I wanted to help him set up his efoil business. He was going to buy efoils and needed a partner. I had entrepreneurial experience, had been in sales for pretty much my entire working life, and after all, I love surfing and foiling. A match made in heaven? You bet!

eFoil

First time on an eFoil

The first time I tried a Flying Fish eFoil was at the HISWA watersports fair in Amsterdam, where I had to give a demonstration to the public. However, I had never tried it before, so I must admit I was a little nervous. But as soon as I was in the water and on the board and hit the throttle, I was surfing!

Endless surfing

Learning to surf on a regular surfboard takes years of practice, and even then, the sport remains super difficult and fickle, and the rides are short. On an eFoil, however, you can go on endlessly – or at least as long as your battery lasts ???? and the feeling is similar to snowboarding through the deepest powder snow – or to… flying. It really is the best feeling in the world. After I felt it the first time, I only wanted more and more. And then I fell in love with this wonderful new sport of eFoiling ????

Introducing eFoiling to the world

Experience surfing on an eFoil without needing waves or wind. A board with a hydrofoil and electric motor makes it possible to surf anywhere.

Experience breathtaking moments as you glide across the water. Feel the sensation of flying. One of the fastest-growing trends in outdoor recreation, eFoiling has redefined the future of modern water sports.

Powered by a robust propulsion system, the Waydoo Flyer ONE gives you the ultimate water experience. You can ride anytime, anywhere, on oceans, lakes, and rivers.
