Efoil les? Sowieso doen!

Efoil lesson? Definitely do it!

Whether you are an experienced surfer or have never stood on a board, it makes no difference. An eFoil lesson is accessible and fun for everyone. eFoiling is a new, rapidly growing form of surfing. With a remote control, you operate the surfboard via a Bluetooth connection, which is powered by a propeller. The propeller hangs at the bottom of a mast, or foil. At the right speed and weight displacement, the foil emerges from the water like a periscope. Due to the reduced resistance, you can fly above the water at speeds of up to 30km/h. It's a very free and futuristic feeling. And the great thing about efoiling is that it's much easier than it looks!

Why an efoil lesson is necessary

If efoiling is so easy to learn, why is an efoil lesson necessary? It's very pleasant to receive instructions the first few times and to learn how the equipment works. With guidance, you can make a lot of progress in an hour; but often, actually getting out of the water is still a step too far. Experienced surfers and kitesurfers often manage it within an hour. That's also why it's just as fun for them to take a lesson. They certainly have to work for it, but the feeling of efoiling is achievable for them within an hour. After that, it's all about practice, for example, to make sharp turns and to efoil at full speed. Less experienced people can usually stand within half an hour. That's already a very fun experience, as you're still surfing across the water at a decent speed. If efoiling doesn't work out then, it's not a problem at all. Most people still succeed within three lessons!

Efoil lesson in the Netherlands

Flying Fish is the largest efoil platform in Europe, both in terms of efoil sales and schools. This year, you can visit Flying Fish at multiple locations in the Netherlands, including Amsterdam and Rotterdam. It's not only fun to efoil with a few friends, with your family, or by yourself during these times; it's an activity that you can definitely consider for company outings, family days, and other festive gatherings. A definite recommendation for the beautiful days ahead!
